Hey Lisa, thank you for your input! It is quite interesting that Google really wants your content readable by a sixth grader. This has become so important that it is now a SEO ranking signal, and the Yoast development team has done a wonderful job integrating this into their WordPress plugin.

Readable.io is a great tool that uses a variety of tests for your articles and website content. I use this as well as the Yoast plugin, to make sure all content is not only useful and engaging, but friendly for our users, and optimized for better SEO results in the eyes of Google.

I hope this helps give you a little insight for your future content writing endeavors. Have a great day and week as well Lisa!

HI Brad, I LOVE this one! Recently I did a post for contributors to my blog as many do not follow these guidelines. They write very long sentences and my Yoast plugin tells me that it's hard to read.
I haven't heard of readable.io. It sounds like the tool that the Yoast plugin must use in their reading score. I'll be checking it out and sharing this post around today!
Have a great day and start to the new week Brad!
