Hey Enstine –

I appreciate your input as always! I think you are correct that the server usually is not the issue with a WordPress site’s loading speed. By using WordPress, with all the built in files above the fold, having file compression really helps. Also cache is a must. Image compression is a must, and the above plugins mentioned, always do the trick. Most of our websites have been in the 90’s on Google Page Speed for Mobile and Desktop.

We usually use Bluehost for smaller business websites. It’s inexpensive, has the CPanel, and plenty of emails and storage. I will look into WPX. We always have our options open!

Here is another helpful post
My blog was such a snail while I was hosting with Hostgator. I know they could help sort the situation out but the customer service was just unbearable. I moved to WPX Hosting and a remarkable change was noticed.

Next, I got Thrive Theme’s FocusBlog theme. These two plus W3 Super Cache and an image compression plugin make a huge difference.

Folks don’t need to be on super fast servers to get these results. Just following your tips here could help.

I am glad you found some useful information on a quick and easy fix for this. Out of the countless cache and image compression plugins, I found these to be very effective and easy to integrate for the WordPress users that don’t have a lot of developing experience. Site speed is a big factor for SEO and user experience, so I hope you have made some progress for your website by following this quick guide…good luck!
