Having your website tuned up for speed, mobile responsiveness, and security is a great start. Your website is running on WordPress, so if everything is updated, the switch to HTTPS should be on the smoother side.

I would first, contact your host, and ask them about HTTPS and WordPress, and if they have everything redirected properly when you switch to SSL. You could experience a few weeks in traffic dropping, but that will work itself out.

What a great, and thorough SEO guide for bloggers to follow.

I’m going to share this with my students for sure, and hey, even link to in my next email 🙂

Now, I’m a pretty avid blogger, but really, the SEO and tech side of it always has me on my heels.

I’m going to go point by point over this and try to implement those things that I’m weak on.

The first one that comes to mind is the whole https thing. I’m so scared to screw this up, so I keep putting it off.

I guess the best thing is, like you suggest, to see if my hosting plan takes care of it for me.
